DESTINATION THE LAND OF MAPLE LEAF!

Browsing today’s Hindustan Times I came across this piece of information.

By proportion home to the largest Indian diaspora in the west ,Canada may have Indians as its largest minority by mid-century.

Indian community accounts for  over 3.6 per cent of Canada’s population of  nearly  33 million .

India has its highest population across Western nations in Canada, higher than it’s share of Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States.

In 1966, the number of new immigrants from India stood at 2,233.

In 2011, the number was 24,965 immigrants arrived from India.
Indian community is fast emerging as a major demographic group in Canada!
